Are You Poisoning Your Pets?	Lots of information about potentially toxic substances found in and around the home.  Covers topics like building and decorating materials, cleaning products, lead, plants, pesticides, etc.  Also some good reading about diet and supplementation.
Canine Nutrition: Choosing the Best Food for Your Dog	The theory is that dogs should eat a diet that most closely resembles what the ancestors of their breed ate.  This makes sense to me but I haven't read this book as the Seattle Public Library doesn't have it.
Earl Mindell's Nutrition & Health for Dogs	Lots of great information about supplementation and different types of vitamins and minerals.
The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care	Practical information, recipes, and holistic treatments for dogs, cats, rabbits and birds.  Topics include behavior, exercise, nutrition, alternative/holistic therapies, and interviews with leading veterinarians using natural and holistic therapies.  Good resource section.
Food Pets Die For:       Shocking Facts About Pet Food	The horrors of commercial pet food.  If you weren't convinced before this book should do it!  Stuff you wouldn't believe - a definite must read.  Also has limited information on feeding a natural diet.  Includes recipes (mostly cooked food, no raw meat).
Give Your Dog A Bone	Considered by many (myself included) to be the bible of raw feeding.  The Billinghurst diet (aka BARF, aka "Bones and Raw Food" or "Biologically Appropriate Raw Food") is based on raw meaty bones supplemented by other foods.  I finally said a prayer to the credit card gods and bought a copy.  I have to say I am VERY happy I did - the book is very clear and easy to follow.  Makes it all look easy (and it is)!
How To Have A Healthier Dog	The bible of vitamin and mineral supplementation for dogs.
Natural Pet Cures	I have to say, I LOVE this book!  I found it purely by chance, surfing the library catalog, and it is GREAT.  Extremely enjoyable to read, packed with tons of useful information about 63 common problems (including allergies, aggression, anxiety, arthritis, bad breath, cancer, hip dysplasia, heart disease, itching, kidney & liver problems, skin problems, pain, worms, dental problems and then some!) .   Mostly herbal remedies are discussed as the author does not really believe in homepathic remedies (but there are some in there).  One thing I like very much about this book is that he tells you where you can order all the stuff he writes about.

The Natural Dog	Lots of information on  how to treat, naturally, many different conditions (such as allergies, illness, etc).  A good book on general care.
Natural Remedy Book for Cats and Dogs	Everything natural:   nutrition, supplementation, massage, herbs, homepathy, flower essences, accupressure/puncture.  Great section on remedies for many ailments including allergies, fleas, arthritis, etc etc!
Pet Allergies: Remedies For An Epidemic	If you have an allergy prone pet (or think you might, like me) this is the book for you.  Lots of info on what causes allergies and hypoallergenic diets.
Dr Pitcairn's Complete Guide       to Natural Health for Cats & Dogs	I consider this one of the bibles of natural feeding.  Contains detailed recipes for beginners who need some hand-holding or people who worry too much about balancing their pet's diet on their own.   There is also lots of information on general pet care.
Reigning Cats & Dogs	Detailed information on what to feed your pet.   Gives the nutritional reasons why you should or should not feed different vegetables, fruits and grains.  (Note:  In the revised edition of this book grains have been eliminated from the diet)
The Tellington Touch (TTouch)	TTouch is a wonderful way to help your pet holistically and strengthen your bond at the same time.  This method incorporates special kinds of "touch" all over your pet's body to treat many physical and behavior problems.  It is difficult to describe so just read the book or watch the video(s)!
Ultimate Diet:       Natural Nutrition for Dogs & Cats	A much recommended book by many raw feeders.  Often suggested as a starting point for those interested in a diet based on raw meaty bones.  It's a very simply written book, and makes for quick reading.  IMO, good for a beginner but I prefer the "Billinghurst BARF" way.
